Terms of Registration and Participation

For registration please use the electronic form on this website or download the program brochure and send the filled in form to IBBK. You will receive a confirmation and an invoice after your registration. We expect receipt of your payment in advance to the conference. In case of written cancellation until August 31, 2007 the fee minus a service charge of EUR 50 (plus 19% VAT) will be refunded. There will be no refund in case of cancellation after August 31, 2007 and no refund will be granted if the particpant does not appear at the conference (even in case of illness), but it is possible to announce an alternative participant to the organiser. If the organiser has to cancel the conference the full participation fee will be refunded. All further claims are excluded. The registration fee includes the simultaneous translation (German / English), the proceedings to the conference, soft drinks and coffee during the breaks as well as lunch on the respective conference days. During the field trips lunch will be organised, but it is not included in the fee. Furthermore, delegates, participants and exhibitors are cordially invited to take part in the chimney talk with meet & greet reception on September 18, 2007 and the reception in the evening of September 19, 2007.

Mode of Payment

The payment of the registration fee must be made in Euro. We expect receipt of your payment in advance to the conference. We cannot guarantee your participation without full registration including the payment of the registration fee. For advanced payment we offer the option of bank transfer. You will receive the necessary information with your confirmation and invoice. Credit cards are not accepted.

Registration Desk

All participants must register on arrival at the conference. With the registration you will receive the conference proceedings, your name badge as well as further information about the conference. The registration desk will be opened during the following hours:
Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007: 16:00 – 18:00
Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007: 7:30 – 17:30
Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007: 7:30 – 16:00

How to get there

• by train
  Public transport from Stuttgart main station:
  Take the U7 underground/tram line (leaving from low level station) towards Ostfildern. Exit at station "Ruhbank (Fernsehturm)", change into bus number 70 towards Plieningen, which stops at Hohenheim university.
  Or: Take the U5 or U6 underground/ tram line (leaving from low level station) towards Leinfelden or Möhringen. At Möhringen station change for U3 towards Plieningen. Exit train at Plieningen Garbe. From here Hohenheim university can be reached on foot or by bus number 65 towards Obertürkheim (stopping at Hohenheim university).
  Taxi from Stuttgart rail station:
  Fare approx. 20–25 Euros. Time: approx. 25 mins.
• by car
  Coming from Stuttgart city centre:
  At Charlottenplatz (near the "Schloss" palace) turn from the B14 road (Konrad-Adenauer-Straße) into B27 (Charlottenstraße) and drive straight on. The road will become a dual carriageway later on. Take exit S-Hohenheim. Follow the signs for S-Plieningen/ S-Hohenheim for some kilometres until you reach S-Plieningen. Turn left towards Hohenheim University. At next opportunity turn right. Follow the street until you reach the car park.
  Coming from Karlsruhe/Heilbronn:
  Motorway A8, exit Stuttgart-Flughafen/ S-Hohenheim, keep left and follow signs towards S-Hohenheim. In Plieningen turn left towards Hohenheim University. When your reach the traffic circle, take the first exit. Follow the street until you reach the car park.
  Coming from Munich:
  Motorway A8, exit Stuttgart-Flughafen/ S-Hohenheim, keep right and follow signs towards S-Hohenheim. After approx. 4 km turn left towards Hohenheim University. After a sharp bend you will reach the University car park.
• by plane
  Public transport from Stuttgart airport:
  Take the local S-Bahn train S2 towards Schorndorf or S3 towards Backnang. At "Vaihingen-Bahnhof" station change for U3 underground/ tram line towards Plieningen. Exit train at "Plieningen Garbe". From here Hohenheim University can be reached on foot or by bus number 65 towards Obertürkheim (stopping at Hohenheim University).
  Or: Take bus no 122 towards Esslingen. Exit at station "Plieningen Post" and take bus no 70 towards Ruhbank. Exit at station "Plieningen Garbe" and proceed as described before. The bus runs every 30 minutes.
  Taxi from Stuttgart airport:
  Taxi: Fare approx. 15 Euros. Time: approx. 15 mins.

The organiser cannot be held responsible for injury to conference attendees or for damage to, or loss of their personal belongings, regardless of the cause. We strongly advice you to make your own insurance arrangements.

Visa

Participants requiring an entry visa to Germany are strongly advised to make their application in their home countries as early as possible before the intended date of arrival. We offer our support with invitation letters, but please be aware that we can only send invitation letters after we have received the full participation fee.
